For clinical operations at small and mid-size biotechs

Some of your sites are now also enrolling for someone else.

Every month we check your trial's US sites on ClinicalTrials.gov: which ones opened a newer trial in the same condition, and which experienced sites have nothing competing open.

Public records, checked live, in a spreadsheet you can verify row by row.

A Phase 2 trial in early Parkinson's disease (150 patients, started Jan 2025). 17 of its 44 recruiting US sites now also recruit for a newer industry trial in the same condition. Names are withheld here. Your report names every sponsor, trial and site.

Enrollment is where trials slip.

54%

of Phase 2 and 3 trials now run at least 20% late, up from 44% before 2020.

Bain and Company, survey of 120 sponsors, CROs and sites, Apr 2026

86%

of sponsors and CROs rank patient recruitment among their top three causes of delay.

Bain and Company, Apr 2026

$23,737

direct cost of one day of a Phase 2 trial. A Phase 3 day costs $55,716.

Tufts CSDD, Aug 2024

“More trials are competing for fewer eligible patients.”

Bain and Company, 2026

Nobody tells you when one of your sites opens a competing study. It is, however, in the public record. We read it every month so you don't have to.

Example

What one check found.

4 newer industry trials in the same condition now recruit at 17 of this trial's 44 US sites. One site is enrolling for all 4 of them at once.

In your report each row names the sponsor and trial, with a link to its ClinicalTrials.gov record. For an MDD trial we checked the same day, we also found 14 independent sites with three or more industry MDD trials since 2021 and no MDD trial listed as open there now.

What you get

A short list of facts about your own trial.

  1. 01

    Site overlap

Your recruiting US sites that also recruit for another sponsor's industry Phase 2 or 3 trial in the same condition, started after yours. Trial number, phase, start date, target size and a link to the public record.

  2. 02

    Backup sites

Independent sites with repeat industry trials in your indication since 2021 and no competing trial listed as open now. Only where the registry supports a useful list. We tell you when it doesn't.

  3. 03

    Monthly refresh

New overlaps flagged the month they appear, so you hear about a competing trial before your enrollment curve does.

Want help reaching backup sites? We can contact them for you with a non-confidential synopsis you approve, and hand over the interested ones. Only with your written sign-off. We never contact patients.

How it works

Three steps, no software.

  1. 1

    Send one NCT number.

No protocol, no CDA, nothing confidential.

  2. 2

Get the check in two business days.

A spreadsheet. Every row links to the public record, so you can verify it yourself.

  3. 3

    Decide on a 20-minute call.

Keep it monthly if it's useful. Keep the first check either way.

Method and limits

What the check does, and what it can't.

Public data only
ClinicalTrials.gov records for industry Phase 2 and 3 trials with US sites, checked again live on the day we send.
Conservative matching
A site counts only when city, state and the distinctive part of the site name match. Close-but-different names are left out, so overlaps are a floor, not a ceiling.
Start dates, not activation dates
Site activation dates aren't public. "Newer" means the competing trial started after yours did.
Facts, not predictions
We tested whether registry history alone could predict which sites a sponsor would go on to use. It found about 1 in 5, so we don't sell a predicted site ranking.
Masked site names
If your record hides site names, we can run the check on a site list you send us.
No patient data
Ever. We work from trial and site records only.

FAQ

Common questions.

Our CRO runs site selection. Is this still useful?

Yes. It gives you specific sites and specific competing trials to raise with your CRO's feasibility team, and backup sites to ask about.

Do you need anything confidential?

No. The NCT number is enough. The check uses public records only.

What does it cost?

The first check of one trial is free. After that it's a flat monthly fee per trial, agreed once you've seen the first check. No success fees and no per-patient fees.

How is it built? Is this AI?

We use our own software to pull and match the registry records. Every number is checked against the live record before it reaches you.

What if a match is wrong?

Tell us which row. We re-check it against the live record and correct the sheet.

Who's behind this?

Shunpo Ltd, a small data company in London, run by Nadir.

Send one NCT number.

We'll send the check within two business days. Free for the first trial.
